Jennifer Brimhall

Town Council Candidate - 4 Year Term

Dr. Jennifer Brimhall, PT, MPT, DPT has been a proud resident of the town of Pinetop-Lakeside since 2008.  In 1998, she graduated with honors from the University of Utah with a master’s degree in physical therapy. She began her career developing health and wellness at the renowned Mayo Clinic.  In 2003, Jennifer  received a Doctorate in Physical Therapy with a special emphasis in leadership development, research,  and business planning.  After that time, she became curriculum coordinator and adjunct professor for AT Still University.  Then in 2008, she moved with her orthopedic surgeon husband, Dr. Ian Brimhall (a native of the White Mountains) and four small children to Pinetop-Lakeside.

Dr. Jennifer Brimhall has served our community in multiple roles including soccer, track, and basketball coach; Blue Ridge School Board member (12 years); founder and Vice President of White Mountain Youth Foundation (generating over $250,0000 towards scholarships), founder of the High Mountain Half Marathon, and founder and president of Project Elevate at Camp Grace. Her passion for saving and creating opportunities for our youth in our community is unmatched!  She believes that communities thrive when they focus on opportunities for the rising generation.  

 As a business owner, educator, and philanthropist, Dr. Brimhall knows the difficulty of running and maintaining successful business in a seasonal rural community.  She has four main objectives in running for town council:

1. Enhance and expand youth activities in sports and arts.
2. Enhance workforce development but, most importantly, workforce RETENTION.  
3. Maintain Pinetop-Lakeside’s unique culture and become recognized as a niche community with unique opportunities in outdoor recreation and wellness.  
4. Collaborate with businesses and town management to improve, simplify, and update services, utilities, and expansion projects while keeping Pinetop-Lakeside’s unique White Mountain environment.
