Welcome to the Public Works Department. Our goal at the Department is to keep you informed of ongoing projects as well as seasonal work that we plan to perform.  

Public Works Mission Statement 

The Public Works Mission is to honor the public trust by providing quality public works service with pride and dedication to insure a higher quality of life for the Towns residents and visitors. 

Responsibilities

The Public Works Department is responsible and has purview over numerous divisions including: Contracts & Grants, Engineering & GIS, Facility Maintenance, Fleet Maintenance, Parks Maintenance, Streets Maintenance, and Recreation. Additionally, the Public Works crews maintain the Cemetery, the Collection Center, and coordinates On-Call Engineering Professional Services with our contracted Engineers: Kimley-Horn and Woodson Engineering & Surveying. The Department of Public Works is comprised of 27 dedicated full-time employees.

If you see them hard at work on the side of the road, be sure to use caution in the work area so that we can send them home safely to their families.
