CALL FOR ARGUMENTS - Proposition 430 renewing the Alternative Expenditure Limitation


PUBLIC NOTICE 

TOWN OF PINETOP-LAKESIDE 

CALL FOR ARGUMENTS 

The Town of Pinetop-Lakeside will hold a General Election on November 8, 2022, to refer a vote to the people for their approval or rejection of Proposition 430 renewing the Alternative Expenditure Limitation (Home Rule Option) for the Town of Pinetop-Lakeside. A Publicity Pamphlet with supporting and opposing arguments for the ballot measure will be prepared. 

A “YES” vote shall have the effect of allowing the Town to adjust its base expenditure limit. 

A “NO” vote shall have the effect of not allowing the Town to adjust its base expenditure limit. 

The deadline for submission of supporting or opposing arguments for this proposition is August 10, 2022, 4:00 p.m. Arguments must not exceed 300 words in length and a payment of $200.00 per argument is required by Town Code Chapter 1.08 and Ordinance 06-274 to help offset a portion of the cost of the publicity pamphlet. Arguments may be submitted by mail, email, or hand delivery. Electronic statements may be emailed to the Town Clerk at Ksalskov@pinetoplakesideaz.gov Each argument shall contain the sworn statement of each person sponsoring it. If the argument is sponsored by an organization, it shall contain the sworn statement of two executive officers of the organization or if sponsored by a political committee, it shall contain the sworn statement of the committee’s chairman or treasurer. The person or persons signing the argument shall also identify themselves by giving their residence or post office address and a telephone number, which information shall not appear in the publicity pamphlet.
